Monica Scrobotovici is a passionate health equity and social justice activist who was born and raised in Romania. She is a Global Health Corps fellow (GHC) in Boston working as Performance Improvement Coordinator at DotHouse Health. Prior to joining GHC, she worked for Thurrock Council (the local authority) and the NHS in the UK to improve access to primary care services in the borough. In addition to her work in public health, Monica researched cardiovascular disease and co-authored a paper in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia journal. She also went to Washington, DC to advocate for public health policies in the House of Representatives in 2014. In her free time, Monica loves attending social gatherings, traveling, and learning about other cultures. She holds a Master of Public Health from Brigham Young University.
